KVS Class 1 Admission Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: The child should be between 6 to 8 years old as of March 31, 2025.

KVS Class 1 Selection Process

  • KVS Class 1 admission is completely based on the lottery system.
  • Seats are allotted as per the priority list.
  • Reservation benefits are available for SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled students.

Reservation Policy

  • Right to Education (RTE) Quota: 25% seats are reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS), SC/ST/OBC-NCL, and differently-abled children.
  • Category-wise Reservation:
    • SC: 15%
    • ST: 7.5%
    • OBC-NCL: 27%
    • Children with Special Needs (CwSN): 3% (horizontal reservation)

KVS class 1 total seats

Each class will have a maximum of 40 students as per KVS guidelines. If seats remain vacant, additional admissions may be granted with approval.

Priority Category Details

Children of Central Government employees, Defense personnel, and Autonomous body employees get priority in admission. State government employees and private employees are considered in lower priority categories.

KV Admission for Single Girl Child

Single girl children in a family are eligible for special admission benefits under the KVS admission policy. Parents must submit relevant documents to claim this benefit.
