Educational Qualification
- 10th Pass: At least 50% marks (aggregate) from a recognised board.

RRC ER Apprentice Stipend
- Stipend: As per Railway Board/Apprentices Act, 1961 rules (approx. ₹7,700–₹8,050/month for most trades; subject to central updates)
- No employment guarantee after training, but 20% of future Group D recruitment is reserved for trained apprentices in Railways.
RRC ER Apprentice Selection Process
- No written exam or interview.
- Merit List: Prepared on the average of percentage marks in 10th (minimum 50%) and ITI; both scored are given equal weightage.
- For example, if a candidate has 80% in 10th and 90% in ITI: [80+90]/2 = 85%
- Tie-breakers:
- Older candidate (by DOB) will be preferred
- If DOB same, earlier Matric pass will get preference
- Shortlisted candidates (usually 1.5x seats) will be called for Document Verification as per division/unit preference.
