Eligibility Criteria

CriteriaDetails
Educational Qualification10th Pass with minimum 50% aggregate marks
Technical QualificationITI Certificate in the relevant NCVT trade
TradesFitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter, Diesel Mechanic, Electrician, Wireman, Plumber, Draftsman, Stenographer, PASSA, etc.
Physical StandardsMust be medically fit as per the medical fitness certificate (Annexure G)

Application Process

  1. Complete One-Time Registration (Aadhaar/Mobile/Email)
  2. Fill the application with 10th & ITI marks
  3. Upload scanned documents (10th marksheet, ITI certificate, photo, signature)
  4. Pay ₹100 fee (if applicable) via online gateway
  5. Submit & download the application PDF

What is the selection process for the RRC WR Apprentice?

Merit-based on the average of 10th (50% min) & ITI marks. No written exam or interview. Tie-breaker: Older candidate / earlier 10th pass date.

What stipend will apprentices receive?

Stipend as per Apprentices Act 1961 & Railway Board rules (1-year training period). Exact rates are notified separately.

When & where is document verification?

Called by merit at the respective division/workshop. Original documents + medical fitness certificate required.

Can candidates apply for multiple trades/divisions?

Yes for multiple trades (separate applications). Only one division/workshop choice per trade.

Will accommodation be provided during training?

No hostel provided. Apprentices make their own arrangements.

Is employment guaranteed after training?

No – Apprentices Act doesn’t guarantee a railway job post-training.
